Where it all began

Eye Society began with two siblings who shared a passion for style but brought very different perspectives to the table. We saw the same gap in the market. Too many sunglasses were either mass-produced or priced as luxury without offering anything truly unique. We believed there had to be another way.

Choosing the right eyewear comes down to two things your face shape and your frame size. Use this guide to find the styles that work best for you, then shop directly from your results.

What is my face shape?

Oval

The most versatile face shape. Almost any frame style works well. Best frames: Round, square, cat-eye, aviator

Round

Angular and rectangular frames add definition and make the face appear longer. Best frames: Rectangle, square, geometric

Square

Round and oval frames soften angular features and add contrast. Best frames: Round, oval, cat-eye

Heart

Frames wider at the bottom create balance. Best frames: Round, oval, aviator

What is my face size?

Knowing your face size allows for comfortable, proportionate fit

Narrow sized face

If your measurements are 129mm or smaller, shop for frames below 50mm.

Medium sized face

If your measurements fall between 130mm–139mm, shop for frames between 50mm–54mm.

Wide sized face

If your measurements are 140mm or bigger, shop for frames above 55mm.

How to read your frame measurements

Every pair of frames has three numbers printed on the inside of the arm. These tell you everything you need to know about fit.

Frame width

The total width of the frames from end to end. This is the most important measurement for overall fit.

Lens width

The width of a single lens. Use this to match our Narrow, Medium or Wide size guide above.

Reading numbers

Find the three numbers on the inside arm of your current frames. The first number is the lens width, the second is the bridge, the third is the arm length — all in millimetres.
